This was our little girl’s costume from last year when she was still a sweet inocent little baby . . . sigh . . .
Right, back to the craft blog.
We bought a black turtle neck at Walmart for like $3.
The leggings were women’s knee socks from the Dollar Store transformed into baby leggings. {HERE} is a tutorial if you would like to make your own.
The wings came from Grandma’s costume box, but we chopped the elastic and re-sewed it to make the loops smaller. The antennae also came from Grandma’s, but were once on a headband. I chopped them off the headband and glued them onto some sturdy hair clips, then added bows to cover the clips.
I made the tutu out of the stiffer tulle, elastic and ribbon. {HERE} is a tutorial that might help. And if you’re a visual learner like me, {HERE} is a video that might help.
The Trick or Treat bag was made from a bag from the Dollar Store that had a big ugly skull on it. The ladybug is made out of Fun Foam and felt, pipe cleaners, and ribbon.
She was the most adorable ladybug ever, not that I’m biased or anything!
